This short-lived railroad began in the early 1900s and connected its two namesake towns in Indiana. It thrived off its connections with a Class I railroad on either side: Baltimore & Ohio Railroad at Syracuse, and the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway (CCCStL) at Milford. Hauling primarily local products, and never having run a single a passenger train (a rarity for the time), the railroad ended operations in 1923.
Today, the route is hard to find, but evidence can be seen if one knows where to look.
