This short branch line was built by the Genesee Valley Canal Railroad (itself under the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railway) in 1907 to connect their mainline at Scottsville with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's Rochester and State Line Railroad at Garbutt.
It was abandoned by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1944.
