Holloman Air Force Base, a military installation outside of Alamogordo and the White Sands Missile Range, once had a spur line for transporting goods and experimental armament around the site for testing purposes. Most of the line today has been removed but the tracks leading to the base itself are mostly intact, severed from the UP mainline by a paved over crossing. Some tracks inside the base near the hangar area are also still present.
