This branch line was first built as the Armour Branch by the Chicago, Milwaukee and Saint Paul Railroad in 1882 from a connection with its mainline in Tripp northwest to Armour. The remainder of the line to Stickney (named after a railroad official) was completed in 1905.
Abandonment came in 1972 under the Chicago, Milwaukee, Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad (the Milwaukee Road).
