When I was working as a special agent in the L.A. office I remember going out to the end of the branch in downtown Beverly Hills and checking Hoppercars at bakery at night.
This line was originally Pacific Electric; the PE was long an SP subsidiary and was merged into SP ~ 1965. This line ran parallel to Santa Monica Blvd. Remnants of the grade can still be located in a few areas, though much has been obliterated with the complete repave of Santa Monica Blvd. around 2010.
