|Application filed for authority to abandon a line of railroad extending from MP 704.68 north of Shelburn in a northerly direction to the end of the branch at railroad MP 708.11 south of West Stayton, a distance of 3.43 miles in Linn and Marlon Counties, Oregon.|

Shelburn was the location of a junction. Connected at this junction were the line to West Stayton, Woodburn and points north, the abandoned segment discussed here, and the line connecting Albany, Lebanon and Springfield with Mill City and Detroit in the foothills to the east.
Shelburn was originally the diamond of a direct E/W Albany-Mill City-Idanha line with the N/S Oregonian Woodburn Springfield line. The line from Albany came through what is now Timberlinn Park.
