How the mighty have fallen! When Conrail gave up on the I&F Branch (Indianapolis to Logansport) the tracks were in part taken over by a granger line known as the Wimamac & Southern. It was my understanding that the line was terminated just south of Bringhurst Indiana, due to the excessive cost of upgrading two bridges. W&S had access to Frankfort via Kokomo Indiana. Two grain elevators, located at Cutler & Sedalia Indiana wee suddenly without rail service; both continued to do regular business after the track abandonment.
It has come to my attention that the abandoned section came about due to Winamac & Southern Railway's lack of interest. S
