There were also some logging RRs opperating in the area. When I lived there a few years ago I found the remaines of a stacked log crib type tresle. Find Berry Creek Falls you find the tresle. It's slightly SW of Falls City on Valsetz Rd.
Concrete abutments remain for at least four crossings of the creek between Falls City and Black Rock. The abutments also remain at Black Rock that was the start of the logging line and used by SP as a turning Y.
