Historic ICC Abandonment Filings

UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD
Docket Number: 13595 Date: 1/9/1942 Section: 1
Application of Oregon Short Line Railroad Company and its Lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company for the former to abandon and the latter company operation over that portion of Evona Branch, a distance of 1.158 miles in Weber County, Utah.
Length: 1.158 miles Citation:

Almost all of this abandonment is still in service, what is missing is the transfer track between the Old Denver Rio Grande & Western Tracks and the UP tracks west of 24th St in what is now Ogden. What's somewhat interesting is that one of the bridges along the line (specifically, the one over the River) has been designated for historic preservation. https://www.utah.gov/pmn/files/134963.pdf
