This abandoned segment of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Ellsworth Branch starts at Cokeburg Junction (at an active switch to a lead that goes to a factory in Cokeburg, PA), and runs in a generally southwest direction to its end at Marianna, PA. It served a number of coke mines in the area. The Ellsworth Branch also included the Ontario Branch, a short spur that accessed the small hamlet of Ontario, PA.
The rest of the Ellsworth Branch, from Monongahela to Cokeburg Junction, is still in use today by Norfolk Southern.
