Abandonment of this portion of the Second District, Middle Division, was a put up scam by the ATSF RR. Leonard Johnson, Conductor on the Cushing to Stillwater local, which was advertised to go to Drumright on Tuesday and Saturday attended the proceedings with train/car information for the previous year, showing that load miles were far above and beyond the information of activity presented by the railroad. He was shown the door and told it was none of his business. The outcome is history.
Actually, about the Caboose. If it was "Cotton Belt" it was the St. Louis Southwestern Railway. If it was from the Frisco, it was the St. Louis San Francisco.
