When I was a kid in the 60's, I had an older gentlemen from Colony related a story about this line. The locals in Colony called the passenger train "The Jerky". It would stop for just about anything, trying to drum up much needed business. This man would fondly remember that this train would take him and his young friends out to a fishing hole, drop them off and pick them back up on the return trip to Colony.
