The station is completely intact and in great shape in Kenosha, WI. I was there about six weeks ago to go eat and have a beer and remember old times. Growing up in the 70s and 80s it was the spaghetti station and then just called the station. Don't know when the restaurant closed but it know looks like it is a child day care.

The elevated right of way that runs parallel to 6th street in Milwaukee, between Holt Ave and Cleveland Ave still has the ties in the ground but nothing else. Very overgrown and hard to get to, but still there.

Hey there Andrew-

Wouldn't happen to have any pictures of that awesome stuff now would you? The old NSL ROW, as far as I can track it with the naked eye ends at 2999 89th st, Kenosha- Anyone who can help trace it the rest of the way into Milwaukee- I would really appreciate it! It's also as far as NESR Maps will go- cuts off at 1962- then 54 then 41- then just drops completely- All your left with is questions!

Thanks for the update- It is still somewhat hard to follow, but it seems as though the bike trails cover about 60% of the old ROW thru S. wisc into downtown Milwaukee! Still an absolute delight to know there was an old rail system that was so useful.. and like many of the others, met is't demise long before it should have.

Brad:

Get the books "North Shore America's Fastest Interurban" by William D. Middleton and "The ROUTE OF THE ELECTROLINERS" published by Central Electric Railfans Association. These are great books which have numerous illustrations and editorials in them. I can share some info on the route if you so desire to hear.

Does anybody know it this bridge located by West Leigh and Sheridan Roads near Highwood a remnant from the North Shore still exist? I drove underneath it several years ago. It would probably the one of the last remaining structures of the line. I remember a bridge overpass over Drexel Ave in Oak Creek WI. About 10 years ago, it was removed for the widening of Drexel Ave.
