the stone canyon and pacific railway did not go in to stone canyon. It went into slack canyon to just over 1900 feet elevation. the cable railway of over 4000 feet that moved the coal from the mine at 2800ft. down to the train. you can see the foundations sharply and the NE scare blasted in the rock for the cable railway. 50,000 tons a year at best production. 3-25-16.
