GOOGLE MAPS no longer available: With apologies, I am unable to continue showing Google Maps. Google has forced my hand by increasing their map usage fee from nothing/free to OVER $300 A MONTH for the Abandoned Rails website! This is an expense that I simply cannot afford. Rest assured I am looking at available open source alternatives, so maps should be back online soon!

the stone canyon and pacific railway did not go in to stone canyon. It went into slack canyon to just over 1900 feet elevation. the cable railway of over 4000 feet that moved the coal from the mine at 2800ft. down to the train. you can see the foundations sharply and the NE scare blasted in the rock for the cable railway. 50,000 tons a year at best production. 3-25-16.

I found the incline, but I can't figure out where the mine was. There is a big scar much further up the road from there, but it is another couple of miles away.
